Carnation, dianthus caryophyllaceae
Usually associated with "cheapness" or as "filler flowers," I
think carnations have a bad rap. I am drawn to carnations because of their unique,
raggedly petals and their beautiful, delicate coloring. This photograph I took
of a carnation I planted in my garden.
